Friday, September 20, 2024:An informal mixer followed by a casual dinner at the River's Edge Restaurant. Cost is $60 per person, and personal checks made out to South High Class of 1964 should be mailed to Ruth Taravella no later than Sept. 6, 2024.
Saturday, September 21, 2024: An optional bus trip to historic Cripple Creek to gamble or enjoy other attractions. Tickets for the shuttle bus from Pueblo to Cripple Creek can be purchased online at https://casinoshuttle.com/pueblo-cos-cripple-creek/. This is the web address for the Ramblin' Express website. Ticket cost per individual is $40.
Sunday, September 22, 2024: Golfing 9 holes together at DESERT HAWK GOLF COURSE (not Elmwood as previously scheduled) is on the calendar for those who choose to play a short round. Just show up at Desert Hawk at 251 S. McClulloch Blvd. in Pueblo West at 2:30 p.m., purchase your round in the clubhouse, play 9 holes, and then stay for a while to socialize!
***Classmate Claude "Butch" Chavez was inducted into the South High School Alumni Foundation Hall of Fame on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019, in a ceremony at Pueblo Community College. Butch, a Vietnam War vet himself, has worked tirelessly to promote the causes of our generation's war veterans. Early in the summer of 2019, Butchannounced that the Pueblo POW/MIA Memorial was to be recognized August 16 to 18, 2019, at a HUGE salute to American Veterans rally in Cripple Creek. Go to the NEWS FROM CLASSMATES page for links to information about that event.

Two of our esteemed classmates have been inductied into the South High Hall of Fame: LESTER GARRETT, posthumously (nominated by Bennie Swanson and Sheryl Hutchings) and JOHN REINERT (nominated by Ruth Taravella).
This exciting and prestigious occasion took place on April 15, 2023, at the Pueblo Country Club.
The annual dinner and auction to recognize Hall of Fame recipients was the sixteenth in the tradition. It is the number one fundraiser to support students' needs at our alma mater.
60 years and counting
On August 23, 2023, pool side at Ruth Taravella's home, class members gathered to celebrate their 77th birthdays as a group. It was a lovely day, and there were a few new faces in the group. See if you can pick them out and identify them!
