October 18--- We arrived, got settled, and attended an informal gathering at Batista's which was scheduled and reserved by Joanne Cortese for all of us.
October 19--- Everyone did their own thing during the day. Some met for brunch at Bally's, some strolled the strip and wandered in and out of casinos to make a Las Vegas donation, some shopped until they dropped, some relaxed in a country club setting where they stayed. In the evening most of us met to attend
Terry Fator's show at the Mirage. A special thanks goes out to Joanne Cortese for also organizing the ticket purchase for this show.
October 20--- While non-golfers continued to enjoy a variety of activities on the strip during the day, several golfers checked in to play at Dragon Ridge Country Club where Bob and Karen Ball belong. The weather was perfect, the golf was really fun and challenging, and the casual gathering after golf at the Balls was a chance for all who trekked to Vegas to gather, relax together, and enjoy a wonderful buffet dinner which the Balls graciously and generously provided. Dinner was topped off with birthday cake ( which made a lasting impression) and more than one toast to all of us 70 year old Colts!
October 21 --- Most departed for home or set off for other destinations.
Several of us traveled to Las Vegas to celebrate our 70th birthday with classmates, continuing a now long established tradition of celebrating major birthdays together! This photo taken at the birthday party at Bob and Karen Ball's is proof that we aren't aging all that badly!
